Hello there, and welcome to {The Weathered Willow}! My name is
Lauren and I’m so glad you’re here :) I started this blog in the Spring of 2013
with the help of my incredible husband, Eric, as a way to share my life, loves,
and creations. You’ll find a little bit of everything here – recipes, DIY
projects, decorating, fashion, and a collection of other tidbits from my life in beautiful
West Michigan. We are also having a brand new house built this spring with the help of a
friend’s dad and I plan to blog about our journey through this exciting process
as well. I can’t wait to share everything with you!
This is me and my husband, Eric:
I’m a 23 year-old wife, registered nurse, and DIY-lover. I
work with the elderly at a long-term care/rehab center as a nurse supervisor -
I love my job, but it can be stressful at times! Creating this blog, along with
the projects and recipes that I showcase on it helps me to relax, truly enjoy
life, and take pleasure in letting my creative juices flow! I have been
inspired by so many of the other blogs out there and finally decided it was
time to show the world life from my perspective as well.
Eric is 26 years-old and works at our church as a youth
director and worship assistant. He is extremely smart, funny, and has helped me
so much throughout the process of setting up this blog. He’s also always
willing to help me out with any projects that require a little extra manly
assistance. What a guy, right? ;)
Here’s a picture of us on our wedding day – July 21, 2012:
Well, that’s enough about us! I hope you enjoy your time
spent at {The Weathered Willow} and leave truly inspired and with many ideas for
your own home. Enjoy!
