Hello there!

I've finally decided that it's time to jump in and start posting on my new blog, {The Weathered Willow}. Welcome!

It's been a dream of mine to start blogging for a while now, but I've always been intimidated by the number of amazing blogs already out there. Along with that, my husband and I are currently still living in a very small apartment so many of the projects that I have plans to create are on hold until our new home is built. After speaking with our builder and the bank recently, we have officially been told that we can start building in just a few short weeks! I took this as my cue to get my blog up and running so I can share our progress with you as we create, design, and decorate our new home. I also hope to share some of my favorite recipes, crafts, and a little bit of fashion as well.

Although I will be the one updating the blog and completing most of the projects, my husband is an amazing helper and I couldn't do this without him! He's an incredible motivator, and has already helped me create and design {The Weathered Willow} with his impressive self-taught computer skills. I'm a proud wife if you can't tell ;)

If you want to learn a little more about me, head on over to my {About} page. Feel free to post a comment and ask any questions you might have as well. I would really appreciate your comments and feedback as I get the hang of this whole blogging thing - it's definitely a new adventure for me and I know I have lots to learn!

Here are a few picture previews for you of some of the projects I will be featuring in my upcoming posts. My hope is that you can get a feel for my style and the kinds of things I will be sharing with you on the blog so that you get excited to come back again! These are mostly projects I've completed over the past few months for our apartment, but they will likely be adapted to fit our new home as well. Here they are!

{Living Room Gallery Wall}

{Burlap & Grapevine Wreath}

And a recipe to look forward to as well -

{Classic Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies}

Come back soon for the complete blog posts on these projects! I can't wait to start sharing with you all - thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Please bear with me through these beginning posts as some of the links might not be up and working quite right yet. I'm putting the finishing touches on the basic website design, but I just couldn't wait to start posting! :)
